BHar Hashem Yeraeh Bereishit 2214 - Chani Cohen Zada

B'Har Hashem Yera'eh (Bereishit 22:14) , 2025

oil on canvas
80 x 120 cm
31 x 47 in

Following Akeidat Yitzhak, (the Binding of Isaac) Avraham calls Har Moriah (the place of the Binding) Hashem Yireh, G-d will See. The Torah explains the reason for the name "BaHar Hashem Yera'eh". The commentators offer different explanations. Kli Yakar explains that the Day will come when Hashem will Appear and choose this Place. ?The structure of the Temple was drawn according to an architectural plan produced by Baniyahou Dayan Tzedek, the builder of the model of the Temple in Mini Israel based upon the vision for the Third Temple in the Book of Ezekiel. The landscape depiction is inspired by the view from the Mount Scopus observation point, enhanced by the artist's imagination and prayers.
