Eliyahu was born in the United States and moved to Israel with his family at a very young age. He views life through a lens of curiosity. This fascination with everything allows him to approach his art with an open mind and open heart. Every painting is an exciting journey of discovery, both for the artist and for the viewer. He is an optimist, searching for the good in himself, in others and in the world that G-d created.
Eliyahu began experimenting with drawing and painting in high school. His initial works were intricate black and white drawings to which later he gradually added color.
His artwork is a celebration of color and movement, which form the basic layer of the canvas. This instills within the artist ideas and emotions which eventually dictate the direction in which the canvas will lead him. Slowly he “uncovers” what he sees as the “reality” within the painting. An intricate, imaginary world evolves, leaving the viewer to interpret as he sees. There is no incorrect interpretation.
