About the Artist:

Sophia Kaminski is a multidisciplinary painter, mosaicist, designer and artist. Her artistic language combines tradition and contemporary ways of expression.

In her years in Paris, she had the privilege to study some artistic technics in sculpture and mosaic with two very skilled and inspired artists, Monique Sidelsky at “Le cru et le cuit” studio and Master Giovanna Galli at “La Mesure” studio.

Her work is at the encounter of tradition and modernity and even somehow outside any framework, drawing inspiration from Judaica, ancient mosaic and street art.

Mosaic is perhaps the most durable art in the world, so it is still possible to find thousands of years old preserved Mosaics. Sophia likes the contrast with graffiti – a somehow underground street art. In her work, she tries to express joy and positive mindedness through a farandole of colors – Joy breaks all the limits. And beyond all, the most important force of inspiration for her is the deepest hope of all, the hope for the messianic denouement.
